The 8000 Series of reusable sensors are ideal for short-term monitoring, stress testing and spot checks — any situation where the risk of cross-contamination is low. A comfortable sensor, available in adult, pediatric and infant is designed for use on fingers and toes and is form-fitted to decrease ambient light interference.

The Nonin soft sensor offers ultimate flexibility for SpO2 monitoring – whether short-term spot checking or continuous monitoring. The specially designed soft sensors offer superior patient comfort by providing optimal distribution of pressure on the finger, and three different sized models, including the WristOx2 versions, to allow for the best fit for each patient.

The Nonin soft sensors with trusted PureLight technology, combined with Nonin’s PureSAT signal processing, provide consistent results – patient to patient and sensor to sensor, even under challenging conditions such as motion and low perfusion.

Note: Beginning in October, 2017 Nonin Medical will be shipping SpO2 soft sensors with enhancements for improved patient fit and sensor identification.

What are the enhancements?

• Sensor boot shortened to enable better alignment of sensor and optics with finger, regardless of finger size

• Blue color marking has replaced the previous “Nonin Orange” to identify the sensor as an authentic Nonin product

• All other markings (lot code, model number , Nonin logo, size indicator) remain as before

What models are affected?

These updates are being made to the 8000SM sensor, however the 8000SS and 8000SL sensors will also change to the new blue “authentic Nonin product” indicator color.
